Bad disk image for BaseCampforMac_424

Howdy,

I've been trying to follow the upgrade path for BaseCamp and hit a snag where the system wants to upgrade from 2.1.2 to 4.2.4. The software tells me that the new version has been downloaded, but when I click the install button a dialog box (possibly an OS X dialog box) comes up with the title "Warning". The body of the dialog box says "The following disk images couldn't be opened", and below that a list appears with the column titled "Image" containing the text "BaseCampforMac_424." and the column titled "Reason" containing the text "not recognized".

I'm pretty sure that the disk image is corrupted. Is there a way for me to uninstall it? I can't find any file called BaseCampforMac_424.

Thanks!
George
