Basecamp 4.3.1 'Send to Garmin Connect' Problem

Hello All,

I've been using Basecamp for some time now and enjoy the features. However there are a couple of things that don't seem to work anymore for me, the first being the ability to send Tracks from my workouts straight to my Connect Account and the second - View in Google Earth.

These have been a problem for a few versions of the software but I haven't been making use of the features in the hope they may just get 'fixed' by an update. I've tried logging in and out of my Connect Account with now joy. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? I have workarounds - export then upload, or upload directly from the unit - but like the fluidity of being able to manage it all from within Basecamp.

  • When I had an issue on viewing Google Earth from within Basecamp it was resolved by an uninstall then reinstall of GE, you might try that.

    Not sure about the Garmin Connect issue, never used it from within Basecamp :confused:

    Thanks for that. Not something I'd tried yet. Being a Mac user I'm never sure whether all the components of an App are removed when I Uninstall by dropping the offending item in the Trash.

    As for Garmin Express - I've somehow managed to get that working. Not entirely sure how, but I unlinked my GPS from it, did some quitting of software and restarted the computer. To finish I relinked my GPS and went to Basecamp to try it out. On sending the first Track to Connect I was asked for Login details and I've not looked back since.

    Will try the GE uninstall next. Fingers crossed.
