How can I be using B.C. Version 4.3.3 on my Mac ?

Just wondered how my version of Basecamp can be 4.3.3. when the Garmin site only states version 4.3.1 is current ?

What's going on ?

Yes I'm on a Mac.
No I did not download the PC version by mistake.

Upgraded recently and had quite some trouble.
Long story short, every thing is working great now so I'm reluctant to touch anything else.

ps Any really, really, savvy icon creators out there who know the Garmin system inside-out. I have a perplexing question !

4.3.1 is the available download on the Garmin site but it updates itself if required, the latest version is the one you now have 4.3.3

Why it's being done that way at the mo I have no idea.

Not necessarily. I have 4.2.4 and it displays "Software is up to date" when asked about updates.

This is fine with me as I have a big trip coming up in a few days and know better than to wade into the update swamp at this time.

It's only started with 4.3.1 onwards ... So you're safe. Enjoy your trip :-)

Thanks for those replies. Funny way to update. Initially, I also had " Software is up to date " which was quite wrong. I could see that my older version was way behind the current version.
Which is when I began to explore in more depth.
Seems the Apple version and the Garmin version do not co-exist. The Garmin version is kept more current. Makes sense.

Thanks Peter. I know of that site and find it strange that although a Garmin download, on the Garmin site 4.3.3 (for mac) it isn't available.
One possible answer is that my downloading and updating (only on Garmin's site) occurred during the 3rd, 4th June when changes were taking place.

Changes made from version 4.3.1 to 4.3.4:

Fixed list database corruption during first time installs.
Fixed crash when toggling Autoname checkbox on route properties window.
Fixed crash when sending trips contained in subfolders to device.
Fixed crash when renaming a day's segment in the Trip Planner.
Fixed arrival time bug after inserting new points into Trip Planner.
Fixed crash when reading SD cards containing multiple maps with same map family.
