I don't remember a single request for trip planner and when it was released, I did not think I would use it. It took a few hours to figure how to use trip planner but the developers did a great job of implementing a tool that can help every group using BaseCamp for planning a trip. Before trip planner it was difficult for me to look at the route on the map and really tell if I had the route I wanted. With planner I can use the slide to trace the route and any zoom level and even better read the nearest city below the slide bar. I have never really used setting departure time, stop time, etc. until trip planner was introduced. With my Nuvi 3597 LMTHD the route I upload is the route I get on the Nuvi. It sort like Henry Ford said, If your ask the consumer what the wanted, it would be a faster horse.
