Using BaseCamp 4.3.3
Mac OSX 10.9.3
City Navigator Europe NT 2012.2

Generally happy with the improvements in this update ( but I don't use Birdseye imagery )
Looking for accommodation there is no drop down.
Waypoints are on the map at a suitable scale.
Just no ability to do a find search.

Is it just me.

Cheers
  • Maybe I'm not understanding what you're asking for, but you can search for Lodging pretty much the same way as you ever have:
Find->Find Points of Interest then choose Lodging in pulldown.

    No Accommodation option available

    " azdrmn "
Find->Find Points of Interest then choose Lodging in pulldown.
    Thanks for your reply.
Unfortunately that option isn't available in this version. 4.3.3
Lodging used to have sub-headings of Hotel/Motel, B&B, Camp grounds... etc etc.
I have no such category now in which to search. The data is on the map, and I can find it if I use a name etc.
They say a picture is worth a 1000 words so have included some to illustrate my issue.

Sorry for the messy att's. However I am quite familiar with BC and can generally find my way around OK.

The required option just doesn't exist,

    Cheers

    "Hello, I'm Back ! "

    Well beats me.
After uninstalling 4.3.3 reverting to 4.3.1 and then updating again to 4.3.3 ; I have the lodging function back.
Guess every thing just needs a shake up every now and then.

    Thanks for the reply though.
Attaching 2 shots just to show the issue.

    Isn't technology wonderful.
    All is well again.

    Cheers

    The problem is solved.

One additional note: If you just type Lodging in the search bar, of hotel or camping thats enough, the category is known and all items which are member of the Lodging category or hotel category will be showed from the center of the map.

    Thanks Marco,
I'll keep that tip in mind.
    Cheers
  • One last note: BaseCamp attempts to only show categories that are available on the map you are currently using. Make sure you're on the right map when starting a find.
