In MapSource we had the opportunity to change speed for an activity.
In BaseCamp I can't find that.
Is it still possible to change speed as in MapSource?
There is never been any setting to change the speed setting for one activity (presumable a track), only for the whole program in MapSource and BaseCamp. These are called the Measurement settings.
In BaseCamp:
CMD , (program prefferences) and the change the Measurement setting on the General tab to US or Custom and select what you want.
Marco, Thanks. Your red circled proposal is known be me. I was looking for something like in Mapsource. There we could change the speed for an activity it selves. 50km=45, 70km=60 etc. Driving a car with a caravan f.i. requires a different speed than a camper or a truck. If you change speed as in "default speed adjustment" with a curtain amount of km then all the speeds with 50-70- etc go up or down. The truck speed f.i. comes nearest to car+caravan. I was looking for a specific own activity with own speeds etc. I can't see in Basecamp what the speeds are. But perhaps i'm asking to much.
You can set the speed per driving profile using the method illustrated above. You can also have as many driving profiles as you want by using Manage Profiles. Each profile can have a different speed and you can attach the different profiles to routes. As Marco pointed out, this will only affect the driving time, not the route taken.
