Track to Route

Hi folks.

Any way I can take a track and change into a route on Mac Basecamp? I've edited a track (EV1 - ~28,000 points) and turned it into proper route points, and it's taking forever to import. I'll go have a nap, but is there any better way to do this?

Routes do not support that many route-points on any device I'm aware of. The proper way would be to import your Track in to BaseCamp and then use the Create Route from Track feature (just right-click on the selected Track). You will also want to set your Route Point Preferences (Preferences->Advanced->Track Conversions) before creating the route. The maximum number of Via Points your route should have will depend up on the device you are going to use the route on. A safe number is 50 but there are Garmin devices that can have upwards of 125 and thousands of Shaping Points (unannounced Via Points).
