Garmin Adventure Privacy?

I just published my first "Garmin Adventure". Fantastic to have my track files and photos displayed so wonderfully. However, there are a number of photos that I don't want the general public to see. Additionally, there are sections of track I don't want the general public to see (private trails where I have permission to hike). As far as I can tell, the only way to hide an Adventure from public view is to "Archive" it, which I immediately did after seeing that it was all public.

So... are there privacy settings I am missing somewhere? It would be logical to allow some Adventures to be marked private and shared only with contacts, etc. It would also be great to be able to make particular photos private as well.

Privacy controls on Adventures is on our To Do list, but other things keep taking higher priority. Our plan is to allow users to tag Adventures or individual photos as private. More on that later. Thanks for the interest.

I have landed here searching for the same missing functionality - I'm new Garmin user and Adventure functionality and ease of use is genius! Unfortunately missing privacy setting doesn't allow me to publish my trips :( I want to share them with my friends so, I have to completely skip using Advanture function and go to Everytrail. They have very simple but powerful enough privacy setup - public and private.
Public is what actually Garmin Advanture is = everyone can search, watch and reuse.
Private = no one can see it unless has direct link (from the owner); trips are also not shown in the search results.

Simple and easy! Follow this way and I will be back! :)

I couldn't agree more. Everytrail has excellent privacy controls and features. I've uploaded many hikes there and additionally love that you can embed your Flickr photo album directly into the project and those photos show on the animated track! I hope Garmin catches up.
