I installed the 24k West maps on my 62S using a CD in a pc, and when I connect the 62S to my macbook, it simply refuses to show the map that is on the 62S. Is there any fix for this? I'm currently in CA, and the pc and CD are in WA, so i don't have access to them.
BaseCamp will only see pre-loaded maps (those that came with a device) those on Garmin pre-programmed cards and those purchased in the download format.
Can I view my preloaded, downloaded or preprogrammed map data in BaseCamp?
Maps purchased on CD/DVD are installed to a computer (PC/Mac) as part of the installation process. It is therefore unnecessary to read them off your device.
That said one can use JavaWa Device Manager to make maps readable by BC :)
Thanks, I will check it out. My issue is that I am trying to use Basecamp on my Macbook, but I originally used my PC to transfer the DVD maps onto my 62S. I can see the maps on the 62S if I use Basecamp on my PC, but not on my Macbook. Hopefully creating a virtual 62S on the Macbook will allow Basecamp to see the maps from the 62S.
