I recently purchased an old copy of Roads and Recreation from eBay. Is it possible to install this for use on the Macintosh. I'd like use R&R with Basecamp on my Mac
Yes, with some work. First the maps have to be converted to a Mac format. This must be done on a Windows install. I did mine on a Mac running XP in an emulator. The app is called "Mapconverter" and is available here https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3897
The process is a bit clunky and may take two or three tries. Some have reported better results using an uncompressed (no tarball) file. HTH
