Can I edit elevation and other data for track points?

I have, for example, a track from a bike ride today which was incomplete because I forgot to change the batteries before setting off, so the Dakota 20 turned itself off just after the half-way point. The actual track just has a straight line going to my end point from where the batteries died (I put new batteries in when I got home) but I was able to pick new points and fill in the actual route that I took using the map in BaseCamp.

I would like to be able to add in altitude and possibly other data for each point so that I can get a more accurate altitude graph (I could guess some of the speeds, but that's not too important).

I did try turning the track into a route but unfortunately there is a map error so it generates a stupidly long round-about route to avoid a break in the track (I am using OpenStreetMap data from TalkyToaster), that is beside the point though and I still would like to be able to edit each track point or selection of points manually if possible.

Currently I can't find any way to do this, is it possible from within BaseCamp? I have never tried manually editing a gpx file but will give that a go if it's the only way and not too difficult.

Thanks.
