How to install Custom Symbols on BC for Mac

I am a brand new Mac User (2 days) but I am using custom symbols on BC for windows using My Garmin folder.
How do you do that on BC for Mac. I did try through the drop down menu (Modify>Manage Custom Symbols) but I cannot upload the Symbols from my Oregon 650... Your help will be appreciated.
Still trying by myself... On my first attempt I have just tried to import Custom waypoints from my Oregon 650 unfortunately the device was not recognized by the option listed above.
Today I have tried to follow instructions from FAQ for Mac OS x: paste icons into Mac HD/Users/User ID/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Custom Waypoint Symbols/ It did not work.... I had to create folder/subfolder... If I remember correctly on Windows that was created during installation of MapSource or BaseCamp. Was anybody able to make this works ?

I could be mistaken as I don't have an Oregon with me but I don't believe newer models are supported for Managing and transferring Custom Symbols. I know my Montana isn't. You have to put your custom Symbols on the GPS manually.

My custom symbols are in my Oregon, I was trying the opposite transfer from the Oregon as offered by the BC drop down menu.

Make sure that your Custom Symbols are labeled the way BaseCamp expects to see them: i.e, 0.bmp, 1.bmp, 2.bmp, 3.bmp, etc.

I use this feature a lot and I'm really bummed that BC does not support "Management" of Custom Symbols with the newer GPS units. It's quite maddening. :mad:
