Problem Report
In BaseCamp - Preferences - General - Advanced: one can choose for metric distances.
Doing that:
BaseCamp - Preferences - Search: gives a pop-up screen showing distances in miles.
In that pop-up screen I typed for the distance: 700 (in miles as defined by the system).
In the upper right corner (by Find) after a find statement the radius (700) has been calculated into kilometers.
