Filtering tracks - automatic slider not working?

Hi

I've been experimenting with using Basecamp to filter a couple of tracks using the automatic slider (I want to get the best fit to the road - so fewer points where it is straight and more when it is twisting). In both cases Basecamp produced tracks with exactly the same number of points whether the slider was set to 'more points' or 'fewer points'. Am I missing something?

(I am using 4.2.3 - so apologies if this is an issue that was fixed with the 4.2.4 release, but the changelog doesn't mention it)

PS - as a workaround I've found that I can control the amount of simplification by running the filter more than once.

V4.2.4 works quite well. I filtered the original Track four times (see below):
    Original: 178mi, 2124pts
    Filter Hi: 2124pts
    Filter Med-hi: 2109pts
    Filter Med: 2043pts
    Filter Low: 745pts

The reason the number look the way they do is because the path is mostly linear but with a few sections of very curvy road.

Thanks Dan. I'll update and try again with 4.2.4.
