Garmin Software in General

Is there anything worse than Garmin software in general? I own an Oregon 450t, nuvi 2555, and a Forerunner 610. Why do I need so many site to log in? Does his need to be so complicated?

Trying to upload archived tracks and waypoints on Oregon to Base Camp. You thing that would be easy right? Un-believable Garmin. Just go through the forums...it never ends.

You should be embarrassed Garmin.

Simple enough on the PC version, may be it's a mac issue ... Why are you finding it so difficult?

Incidentally you only need to log in to sites if YOU want to, many use their GPS without even knowing about them.

One place says I need to use Garmin Spanner, and not USB mass storage device to upload waypoints/archived tracks. I just tried to use the unit as a mass storage device and it worked. Garmin could easily make this much more user friendly. Why can't I just plug it in and go? What purpose is there for changing Spanner/USB modes? It's not like I'm going to use it as a .mp3 player...

Well different folks have different requirements :)

Not sure where you heard though you needed to be in spanner mode, which provides real-time tracking over the USB interface ... that's definitely wrong for what you were trying to do.

Glad you got it working now though.
