Total Ascent/Descent bug when editing tracks

In Basecamp for Mac v4.2.2, the Total Ascent and Total Descent values displayed in the status bar of the main window when a track is selected, and at the bottom of a track's Track Properties window, are not correctly updated when modifications of the track, such as the following, are performed:

- deleting a range of points from the track
- inverting the track
- splitting the track (the first segment retains the original Ascent/Descent values)
- joining two track segments (the merged track retains values from the first segment)

If I duplicate such a modified track, the copy still displays the original (no longer correct) Ascent/Descent values.

The only way I have found so far to correct the displayed Ascent/Descent values is to export the modified track to a file, delete or rename the track in Basecamp, and then re-import it.

In the Track Properties window of a modified track, if I select all the points, or leave all the points unselected, the incorrect original Ascent/Descent values are displayed at the bottom of the window. However, if I select all points except the first one or the last one, corrected values are displayed.

To most clearly see this bug, use a track that ends at a significantly different elevation than it starts (e.g., a one-way, downhill hike), and try deleting or splitting off half the track, or inverting the whole track.

v4.2.3 seems to have mostly fixed this bug: splitting, joining, and deleting parts of tracks now correctly updates Total Ascent/Total Descent. However, inverting a track still fails to invert the Ascent/Descent values (even though it correctly inverts the Avg. Grade).
