BaseCamp 4.2.2 (Mac) is flawed

Here is what I have:
MacPro running OS X (10.7.5)
MacBook Pro (retina) running OS X (10.8.5)
BaseCamp 4.2.2
Nuvi 1390T (North American 2014.2)

Prior to the recent BaseCamp update I could generate waypoints in BaseCamp and then transfer them to the Nuvi using the "send to device" method. That does not work for BaseCamp 4.2.2.

The only way I have found to transfer waypoints to the Nuvi is to select them in BaseCamp and drag-and-drop them onto the Nuvi listed under "My Garmin Devices".

When will this bug be fixed?
  • You'll have to be more specific. We don't know of any transfer issues to the 1390.

I'll try, but I thought the original post was clear.

Versions of BaseCamp prior to 4.2.2 (specifically 3.x) for the Macintosh allowed me to create waypoints in BaseCamp and then transfer them to my 1390T using the "Send To Device" method. BaseCamp 4.2.2 appears to perform the transfer but when I later check the Nuvi the waypoints I tried to transfer are missing.

The only way I have found to transfer waypoints to the Nuvi in BaseCamp version 4.2.2 is to drag-and-drop. That method always works.

    Does that answer your question?
