How to upload only selected Rtes and Waypoints?

I am using the latest updated version of Basecamp on my computer and on which I have created a number of Route and Waypoints. I want to Transfer only selected Route and Waypoint info from the computer to the GPS [BMW Navigator IV] however, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this! I've tried highlighting the selected Folder or List containing the one or two routes and few waypoints I want to Transfer, but every time I click on the Device Transfer button the entire contents of Basecamp Transfers and NOT just the desired info. I've tried Dragging the Folder to the GPS on My Garmin Devices and it appears the data transfers but then nothing shows up!

How do I transfer selected date to my Garmin Device and not the entire contents of My Collection?

Yes, in fact I have watched the "Sharing" video you referenced . . . many times . . . and . . . I have followed the instructions . . . I don't think I am missing any of the steps . . . and . . . all i know is that the Routes and selected Waypoints I wish to transfer to my GPS device . . . DO NOT Transfer [or at least I am not seeing them if they are transferring]. After completing the Transfer process when I access the GPS and select Where To>Favorites the message "No Data Available" appears. If I try Where To>Custom Routes the following message appears "No Routes are available. Create a new route" message appears. If I try Tools>My Data I don't see any routes or waypoints here either.

Something is missing! I have had, and continue to have trouble learning Basecamp, unlike any of the other mapping programs I have used in the past, such as Mapsource, Streets and Trips, and Map-n-Go. I truly want to learn and appreciate Basecamp because the program keeps improving such as with the latest Time and ETA features recently added, but I still have problems with basic procedures such as transferring a selected route and waypoints from my computer to my GPS device. I am trying! But something is missing and for the life of me I cant figure out what. This should be an easy process, "nothing [s]hould be simpler", to paraphrase a previous reply but I am finding it is not! Maybe there's a problem with my GPS? Maybe there's a Basecamp problem on my computer? Maybe I'm just missing a step? I dunno!
