The Search along route is a great feature in Trip planner but When I find a point of interest, my only option it to add to route. I can add the POI, delete and find the route in MyCollection or move it form the TP to the day list before I delete to make it easier to find. Either way it takes to several steps to find a POI along the route and get the waypoint in the desired list.
The solution I would prefer is to allow search alone any route in My collection. Please don't add the find to my route, we have trip planner if we want to add stops or via to a route. Just use the same functions we current have when in my collection and selecting a waypoint on the map.
