I can't read French (?) but your GPX file is either corrupt or contains data that BC doesn't understand.

You can check for corruption by submitting the file at

Attach a copy of your gpx file that will not load so we can repair it and also tell you what is wrong with it.

  • Imports fine into my Basecamp. So it's not the file.

Yes, this file imports into my BaseCamp also. Version 4.2.2.

Your file has no date or time stamps.
It will not load into Garmin Connect because of the missing data.

Uh Oh. I just noticed that this is the Mac forum. I am using WinXP. Could it be a problem with the Mac version of BaseCamp?
  • The error message indicates that TS is using Windows; however, it does load in the Mac version of BaseCamp too.

    Hello everybody,

OK, It's strange because it works now.
But I have an other problem now, after import the file GPX in basecamp, I select the trace and I click with the right button, and I convert to a route.
My problem is the route is 24 km instead of 6 km.

I suppose it is not compatible with my GPS NUVI 2595 LMT, even though I select pedestrian option on the GPS.

Thank you to help me to find a solution if I want to use a route in my GPS NUVI 2595 LMT.

You must use the "Direct" option and BaseCamp should use it by default when using a track.
My BaseCamp creates a route with 58 via points and 6km long using the "Direct" option.
You cannot use "Pedestrian" or any other option when your track does not follow the existing roads.
I selected "Walking" and got 40km on my map of France because the software tries to follow the track and the roads both and makes a huge mess. Look at your map.

    Hello,

So you confirm that I can't find a solution to use my route in my GPS NUVI 2595 LMT?
Or maybe I didn't understand your email !!

    Thanks.
