Split / Cut Tool

I hiked a trail and just turned off my GPS instead of doing a save.

When I got home, turned the unit back on and off-loaded to my Mac, I ended up with a tremendously long line from the trail head back to my residence. Pretty stupid, without a doubt.

Is there a way to cut / delete the offending long line from the trail head to my house?

I've seen references to a Split / Cut Tool but I cannot find it in Mac BaseCamp.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

Select your Track in the list to highlight it or double-click on it on the map, now using the "select arrow" double-click on the end point to highlight it (Orange halo). Press the delete key. Much less work if you get into the habit of saving your track before turning off your GPS.
  • I find it's easier to select the track and then right click on the map where I want it to split it and choose "Split Track" in the menu.

Excellent reminder! Thanks azdrmn. I guess it's time for me to revisit my workflows.
