BaseCamp doesn't seem that good!

Hi,

As a very new user of BaseCamp, I thought it a good idea to update to 4.2.1, but there are a few things that don't appear to work as they should :(

Primarily, whenever I start BaseCamp, it tells me - every time - that I would benefit from more detailed maps. I've got these, on a data card, in my Garmin 62st. when I click on the map on the data card in My Garmin Devices. when i close down, BC saves my settings (I guess), but when I restart BC, it doesn't find the map. This is really irritating and I would like to know how to get it to read the map.

Also, why does BC always 'notify' me about other devices connected to my iMac, including an SD card and my Apple TimeCapsule. This is also very irritating.

Finally (for the moment), why does my device show as a drive as well as the map SD card that's in it?

Basically Basecamp is working as intended :)

If your maps are only on a card in your 62 then you need your 62 connected for Basecamp to read the map. The way around this is to copy the map files onto a sd card or memory stick that is permanently installed on your mac.
