App Store version of 4.2?

In the past there have been differences between the Apple App Store version of BC and what is available on Garmin's web site.

Today, I see BC 4.2 in the app store but the web site is still showing 4.1.2. From within the 4.1.2 app it reports no update available.

Does anyone know why this is or whether I should wait for the web version?

Since it's free I just downloaded it from the App Store. Seems to work just fine. It claims to be version 4.2.1.

Well, I just clicked the Install button in the App Store and it said Installing...then it said something like, "hey you have v4.2.0.x which is a beta and we can't install." But, the App Store now has me registered as purchased and it won't allow reinstall. You just have to love the Apple App Store (NOT!).

Last time I do that.

So, BaseCamp Team, please post a download site for v4.2.1 (or v4.2.2 if it's ready;)).

I am still avoiding the App Store whenever possible. I'll just wait for the Garmin web site version.

Well, I finally convinced the App Store to reinstall BC. It did and I'm up and running...

Bug Report:
v4.2.1 does not show my µSD Card under My Garmin Devices.

I know that the AppStore version in the past asks you for permission to access the device. Maybe you need to attach the microSD later, or restart BC once.
The AppStore version never installs MapInstall and/or MapManager, I always advice to use the normal download version.

This should be the right download: http://www8.garmin.com/software/BaseCampforMac_421.dmg

But does not work for me yet.

Yeah, I tried all of the "usual" things to see if it would recognize the µSD Card but to no avail. And, as of this time that link still isn't live.

Bug Report Update: When I mount the Montana/µSD, BaseCamp does actually "see" it as I can see about a .5sec flash of it indexing the Maps I have on the card. But, then it goes away. I tried several cards all with the same result.

Bug Report Update #2: Well, after six cards and three reboots, BaseCamp finally asked for permission to read the card.:confused: And, now it is doing so for each of the cards it didn't previously.
