Basecamp trip not visible on Garmin GPS?

I created a new trip in Basecamp, then transferred it to my Gamin 50LM where I can see it as a .GPX file in the home directory of the mini-SD card.

However, when I disconnect the Garmin GPS unit from my Mac, power it on and search for the trip, I cannot find it anywhere! How can I find my trip on the Garmin GPS?

The nuvi 50 doesn't have that capability, you can send routes/trips to it but it can't display them.

Thanks, what a bummer. That's why I bought it in the first place.

Well if you can then return it and swap it for one of the many nuvis that will do what you want.
