Hiding via points from Directions.

Hi Everybody,

I have searched the forum, but i really can't find an answer to my question. I hope someone can give it to me here....
What i want to do is hide all the via-points in the list of directions, so i only have a list of directions. (go left, go right and so on). I am not interested in the via-points. On the places i want to stop, i can set a waypoint.

My steps to reproduce.
1) First i created a route with a startpoint, endpoint and some via-points. Of course i had to calculate the route so i could check it on the map.
Then i selected all the via punts and mared them using Cmd-K as "Don't Alert"

2) Next step is that i re-calculated the route, with all the via-points as "Don't Alert". I expected a list with only directions, however, all the via points are still in the list.

See the lines "Arrive at" which i would like to hide.

3) When i use the route on my Oregon 600, all the via points are also shown in screen. "On the left via-punt Groep 1 - Deel 1 5"

My questions.
a) Is it possible to suppress all the viapoints in Basecamp Directions AND on the Garmin Oregon 600
b) If so, can someone tell me what steps i have to make to do so in Basecamp
c) What do i have to set in the Oregion 600 to get rid of the via points.

I am using basecamp 4.1.2 and 4.2.0.4 Beta. Both with the same settings.
My garmin has software version 2.70. (This morning updated)

I hope to hear from someone soon.

Regards,

Pieter

None of the Garmin Handhelds support "Don't Alert" Via Points in a route and as far as I know only the zumo's support this feature - not sure about the nuvi's.

As for BaseCamp not showing the via points set to "Don't Alert" it would only be a "cosmetic" feature since most of Garmin's GPSr's are going to announce the via points anyway.

I have the NUVI 2597LMT and it supports the "Don't Alert" via Points. I just got done with a 2000 mile trip and it was great not having the GPS announcing all the via points I used.

I have checked the windows version of Basecamp. Result is a clean Directions list without the via points.

    Result Basecamp OSX:
    Result Basecamp Windows:

    Two questions:
    - Where can i report the bug for Basecamp on OSX (Mac)
    - Can i register somewhere a feature request so that via-points can be hidden on the GPS devices (Oregon)
