Exporting Waypoints from BaseCamp

I pretty sure out Nuvi 1490 LTM will remain on the windshield anytime we are RVing, unless Garmin releases a model that supports BC better. I always have the MBP when camping but I use the iPad most of the time. When traveling as a passenger, I would like to get the BaseCamp waypoints for the current trip in either Navigon or TomTom on the iPad. Does anyone have an easy way to import from or sync with BC for either of the two apps? The both support address book but any method I have found is very time consuming.

Thanks
  • GlobalScout is an iPad/iPhone app ($5.99) that fits my needs well for moving waypoints from BaseCamp to Navigon or TomTom iOS apps. GlobalScout is a POI/waypoint and Track storage app. I just export the waypoints from BC to a gpx file and store in dropbox. I import the waypoints into GlobalScout from dropbox. GS main claim is a hub for GEO data and neither Navigon nor TomTom do a good job of managing favorites. I use GS to share the waypoint and GS will share with TomTom or Navigon. The workflow is simple.
    Export waypoints from BC
    Drag file to dropbox
    Import waypoints into GS
    Share with Navigon or TomTom
The waypoint is loaded and the app opens ready for you to navigate to the waypoint.
