Problem Using TWO GPSmap 62s with Basecamp on Macbook Air

My Dad purchased two GPSmap 62s units- 1 for me and 1 for my brother. I have synced my brother's unit but when I insert my own Unit - Basecamp will not recognise it. I am running Basecamp on Mac OS X 10.8.3. I had previously synced my own unit with Basecamp before I tried my brother's unit. Basecamp recognises my Forerunner 110, so I don't think it a problem with the USB ports- surely this is because I'm using two of the same model? I have tried uninstalling Basecamp but it still won't recognise my own unit. I don't think it's a problem with the USB adapter i'm using as it's the standard Mini USB cable used with all my other devices, like external hard drive etc.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

BaseCamp can "see" multiples of a GPS connected so it's not that. Sounds like either the cable or your GPSMAP 62s. Without BaseCamp running, does your MBAir see the 62s mounted? Can you see it Finder?

    Cheers,
