Viewing Topo Great Britain in Base Camp

I am currently in Spain I have CN Europe NT-Topo España- Topo Great Britain.
When in Base camp I can view all maps except Topo Great Britain in full screen I have checked that all maps are unlocked plus Base Camp is up to date I am running it on a Mac running Mountain Lion is there a software glitch since the topo Great Britain map when viewed is only using about 20% of the screen the rest is blacked out .
Topo España uses all of the display . This feature with Topo Great Britain makes browsing difficult unless I use CN Europe to find the area in Great Britain I wish to view in Topo Great Britain then I switch maps to view that selected area in Topo ; surely this can not be correct ?
Is it possible that although both my Montana 650T shows the map (Topo Great Britain) as enabled and Base camp shows it as unlocked is it not fully unlocked or do I have to be in UK for Base Camp to dispay Topo Great Britain correctly ?
If I try to view the Topo Great Britain on the device I seem to get CN Europe NT view only.
I am currently a new user and it is possible I am missing something on settings either on the device or in Base Camp although I have gone through all the Base Camp settings and preferences but maybe there is something I need to do on the device Topo Great Britain .
It claims Topo Great Britain has reduced map window for detailed viewing why? This reduced map window on Topo Great Britain does not help viewing at all I am viewing Base Camp on a 27 inch iMac .

Does any one know how I can get rid of this reduced window ?

I don't use Topo Great Britain so no idea about why you're getting a reduced window, I've never seen that on any of my maps.

As for the Montana, CN Europe will normally sit on top of any other map, so if you want to view on your Montana Topo Great Britain you'll need to enable it and disable CN EU.

That is a 'feature' of Topo GB - it only lets you view a 640x480 section of the map at once. Probably due to restrictions from Ordnance Survey.
This is the same in both BaseCamp and MapSource. And yes, it is very annoying if you have a big high-resolution screen.

Note Topo GB has some other restrictions, eg it won't let you print a map from it.

Okay now I understand the protectionism from OS I suppose they are avoiding people taking screen shots then printing those off.
It is an English quirk; as are Admiralty Charts it is possible to download American Admiralty Charts free.

Yes, this is a licensing restriction from the OS. If you change to 2D vs 3D at least it should show lower rez mapping on the rest of the screen instead of black. Sorry for the inconvenience, but definitely not our idea.
