It used to be possible to have the same map on my iMac and MacBook but is no longer true. The posting indicates that BaseCamp can use the map on my Nuvii but darned if I can figurre out how to do this so can some one fill me in? If this possible and I customize a route must it be saved on the device?
if you use Garmin Map updater to download the map, the advance button allow you to install on your mac. You can do the install twice but it takes several hours. In the past I have been able to move the map file to the map folder and use BaseCamp to activate the new maps.
Just connecting your nuvi to your mac should enable Basecamp to use the maps on it. Note though that you cannot create routes directly on your nuvi. You need to create them in BC and then send them to your nuvi. How you then use them on your nuvi depends on which nuvi you have?
