Problems with Garmin Adventures

Hello !

I have problems creating adventures. First, I upload the track from my gps, which works fine. Then I want to to add some geotagged photos, but basecamp only recognized 8 of them as geotagged, although I can clearly see the gps exif data in aperture.

It would be fone to show up some detail in the posting to facebook, instead of just posting a link with the name of the adventure, it would be great to show the distance travelled etc..

Thank you very much in advance !!

Sounds like eight might be the limit. I've never tried that many, but will experiment myself. Also, I had just placed the photographs on the maps and never thought of using the EXIF file, which I believe that I can edit using Photoshop Elements.

  • There is no practical limit to the number of geotagged pictures that can be posted with an Adventure. There is one adventure with over 1600 pictures...though I don't recommend that many. Are these pictures in BaseCamp already? Try importing them into BaseCamp before creating the adventure. You can use File->Import or drag them from Finder into BaseCamp. If you have pictures that you believe are geotagged already, but when you import them into BaseCamp it says they aren't, it's most likely an issue in the actual exif data. Would you send an example to [email protected] so we can take a look. Thanks.
