Trouble shooting solution needed - please can you help? Any suggestions or links to other posts welcome.
Using BaseCamp for Mac.
If I import one trip file from BaseCamp to the Nuvi it creates 100 identical trips.
If I import two different trip route files from BaseCamp to the Nuvi it creates 50 identical trips of each and so on...
Original fault started as Nuvi 3790T touch the plus sign (+) disabled / greyed out on the trip planner in both tools and apps.
I could not add new trips on Nuvi but I could edit old trips on Nuvi and add new in BaseCamp.
I only had 25 save routes.
Software and maps up-to-date.
I followed the step-by-step advice from Garmin support, as below :
I remove all favorites on the devise - delete all.
I removed all saved trips on the devise.
Turned the Nuvi off.
Cleared all data / re-set
Waited for reboot.
Turned the Nuvi off.
Logging in to Garmin - checked to make sure software / maps up-to-date.
Checked the favorites folder (GPX archive) was empty (Mac user).
Disconnected and restarted Nuvi
I tried using trip planner and or BaseCamp to create and save a new journey .
When I saved the new trip on Nuvi or exported from Base camp it created 100 identical named trips; therefore the plus sign (+) was disabled again on Nuvi.
If I deleted one of these identical trips on Nuvi it deleted all 100.
If I altered and renamed one of the identical trips on Nuvi it all altered all 100 of the trips.
I have tried a master re-set again and all steps above twice on Nuvi.
I have also cleared all data / re-set using by this method on Nuvi:
1. Go to volume menu, press upper right corner for about 10 seconds.
2. Select "Clear all user data"
3. Touch "Yes"
Next steps?
