I've been trying to update my Nuvi, but BaseCamp keeps crashing the entire computer. The sequence generally goes like this:
a) Start BaseCamp
b) Plug in the Nuvi
c) BaseCamp recognizes the Nuvi and I can transfer waypoints
d) After several minutes, Nuvi seems to turn off.
e) I get a message saying the device was not ejected properly.
f) At this point, the Mac is dead (mouse doesn't move, no interaction at all).
Only recourse is a hard reboot.
Any suggestions?
