When GPS (nuvi 255W) is connected to Mac with BaseCamp running the map is downloaded from the device even if a same version map is present already in the computer. It is understandable that this behavior is a "feature" useful for most of the uses. If one accidentally clicks on the download bar, a message informing that the map is not available yet since it is not downloaded. However doing so at this stage hangs the program. A recovery from this situation is not obvious as if the GPS is first removed the grogram wont start again. If the GPS is connected the program hangs again but a subsequent restart of the program reveals the default map again. Anyway those agonizing steps might not be all necessary but the situation id repeatable and frustrating. It would be much appreciated if one was able to cancel the map download (a self dismissing dialog with a delay, or a preference for not downloading) especially for old devices that takes like forever.
