My wife and I have an ATV and spend allot of time in the woods fishing and exploring. To help make it a little easier on her nerves as I push the envelope on exploring, I just purchased a 650 Montana with TOPO Canada, City Navigator and soon to be released Atlantic Canada Backwoods. The problem I have is that that I don't have any instructions or a frame work of understanding how this is to glue together in my unit. Here is what I am imagining. I put city nav on the unit so I can use it in the car. When I need it for that purpose I pick that map and it functions with the speaker base, as a regular AUTO GPS. Topo should load in to it as well. I am thinking that would be used with any map I want to use it with. I cannot get anything on the unit. I get a safari error on the version in use (I am using a MAC) but when I look it says I am okay on the Safari rev. Are there steps I should follow, I have base camp, commun. plg in ver 4.0.1, base camp , map install and map manager. Oh and I keep getting a error when I try to load topo on to the mac, says there is problem and contact the software manufacturer. This is so not going as easily as I was lead to believe and figured it should. I am not to bad with computers, just need some steps in bullets, order or pointers or structure or something so I can understand what this is all going to look like.
