Basecamp

I have just started to use basecamp, I have been using mapsource for years, a whole new learning curve. I have made 2 waypoints, and asked B C to make a route, the two waypoints are connected all the way by motorway, the driving time is about 50 min to 1 hour, with a distance of about 45 miles, but B C has come up with a route of about 100 miles with a time of 2 1/2 hours, is there a filter to choose fastest route, inc motorways I have to use.

BC does a good job of routing form me. My guess is you are using the base maps. You can plug you GPS with maps installed into your mac and use the map from the GPS. I much prefer to load the maps on the computer. Go to preference and click routing to select fastest route.

Thanks, I have detailed mapping on my mac, I also like to do all my work on the mac, without having to plug in my device everytime, I went to B C > Preferances > routing and changed the settings,
