Combined the two search boxes into one

This new and improve search is hard on old guys. I have some question.

1. Have we lost the popup suggestion for cities in the near field that is now combined? Being a poor speller and guessing at cities, I used to popup list often.
2. If I center on a city, it appears to me that the all points of interest is limited to 300 ft. is there a way to increase the search distance?
3. Is it possible to search user data if the map is not centered close to the user data?
  • There are a couple of issues with the city search that are being fixed in next week's 4.1.1 maintenance release. More tweaks will be required after that as well, particularly when searching with the Global base map that comes with BaseCamp.
  • The city finder with suggestions is still available under "Options"

The default option in Mac BaseCamp is to look up to 500 miles. You may be looking at the TopResults list that shows only the nearest 5. To see more, click on the "more" button.

I notice that user data is not being found unless it is really close. Ideally the search should find user data within 500 miles. We will look into this.

    Thanks this will work.
  • I found the cities suggestion box under options but when I select a city and click search, the map does not center on the city nor does the city show in the top results. What am I missing. I can copy the city and past it in the combined search box and the map centers on the city.

    Thanks
  • Under Find Options and Location Center of Screen, If I locate a city and select any Type except Top Results the find works as it should. If I find a city and click Top Results the map does not center on the new city enter above and BC performs the search on the current center of map. I think this is something that you would want to correct.

    Thanks
