How do i make a route in basecamp that just shows waypoints i put in. I maDE A ROUTE BUT COULD NOT SEE IT becasue it was covered in all the other hundred or so of waypoints i have. i could not change the routing because i could not see the whole covered up route i just made.
You can use the filter tool so that you only see routes or you could create a new list and put the route you want to edit into that list.
I think using the filter tool will not change the map display, so that would not get rid of the display of waypoints that are not in the route. At least I think that's the case.
The suggestion of creating a temporary list with just that route will work, though, since when you send one route to a list, it will send the route and any waypoints that are actually used in the route, but not other waypoints. But when you do the send, be careful that other waypoints are not inadvertantly selected because you have the data view filtered to show only routes and can't see what all is selected.
Then when done editing, you can select the temporary list, click "Remove and delete unique content" if you have not added any new unique waypoints, and the altered route will be in the original list it came from.
