BaseCamp for Mac and Windows with Edge 800

Hi,

I have a Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion and Windows 7 using BootCamp.

I would like to use BaseCamp on the Mac but running into a few issues. First, I have a few activities recorded on the 800 saved to the SD card that if I plug into the Windows 7 partition i can see them just fine in BaseCamp and file them away in a list etc but if i plug the same 800 into BaseCamp on the Mac I see none of them. I click on receive from device and select routes and tracks and it says transfer complete but nothing arrives.

It seems the Windows version of basecamp is more polished and works better, just wondered what other views are?

Thanks

Gavin
  • My opinion is just the opposite. IMHO, the windows BaseCamp version is lightyears behind the Mac version. I've "archived" the Win version and doubt if I'll ever use it. The workflow just doesn't work for me.

As to your data issue I'm afraid I can't help. I have no Edge experience what so ever.

Which version of BaseCamp? With Basecamp 4.0.4 on my Mac Pro running 10.8.2, I see my SD card as a separate entry under my Edge 800. I don't have anything on it but my topo maps, so clicking on it doesn't show any activities, but it may for you.

Im running 4.0.4 and 10.8.2 same as you and although there are activities in the activity folder nothing shows.

Ok it would seem that if I save to the SD card BaseCamp for mac doesn't recognise it but BaseCamp for windows does.
  • I wonder if anyone else has the same issue?
