BaseCamp for Mac software version 4.0.4 as of November 1, 2012

Changes made from version 4.0.2 to 4.0.4:
* Added capability to create a geotagged photo from a waypoint that has photos
* Fixed issues related to Garmin Adventure publishing
* Fixed issues with importing Garmin Custom Maps
* Fixed issues with BaseStation mode
* Fixed issues with the Detailed Data List
* Fixed issue related to Birdseye download and transfer
* Fixed crash during adventure playback
* Fixed crash when exporting very large file
* Fixed crash when adding points to a route or track on map
* Fixed crash when transferring a route to device
* Improved copying of photos to device


(Are these the correct release notes? Seems that the website is sometimes release notes of Windows and then Mac)

    The Windows release notes are different than that. Maybe it is right this time?

    I guess so.
    I chose 'Check for updates...' in BaseCamp 4.0.2 on my Mac and it told me, "Software is up to date." Then I used your link and it updated flawlessly.
    Go figure.

    The "Check for updates..." didn't work for me, either. And the version in the Apple App Store is 3.3.2. Someone at Garmin really ought to do something about that and keep the version up to date there.

    We're trying. Currently BaseCamp is being rejected from posting to the App Store based on the new sandboxing requirements, because we read and write to devices. We hope that sandboxing doesn't kill our ability to get onto the App Store, but so far it's not looking great. For now if you want to stay current, you should download the web version. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    I'd like to report a buglet in 4.0.4.

    When I launch the program, it does not open up to where I was on the map when I last closed it. In fact, since looking up some addresses in New York during the hurricane, it now opens to Brooklyn every time, even though I have used it since to create routes and add waypoints in MA and NH.

    Not a biggie, but a minor irritation.

    Thank you. I just noticed the same in 4.0.4 this morning. Oh well, for me it's opening every time on Basswood Lake in the BWCA... there are worse places to be stranded. :)
