4.0.2 Issue

Hi all,

This is my first post on these forums, so please be gentle with me :)

First of all I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5 on a MacBook and Basecamp 4.0.2 and have a eTrex 30 with software version 2.80

My eTrex is a replacement I received under warranty and have had support swap map licensing over to the new device.

The problem I'm having is when I try to send Birdseye maps to my replacement device, Basecamp crashes,
First thing that happens is Basecamp connects to Garmin's server with the message "signing in" this then changes to "checking" and this is when the app crashes.

I have tried the following things to rectify the issue.
Uninstall and reinstall Basecamp using the following steps.
1) Uninstall Basecamp
2) Restart MacBook
3) Install Basecamp
4) Restart MacBook
5) Hard reset on eTrex

I have also tried disabling all antivirus/firewalls and have checked my HD for file/permission errors.

I am now at a loss as what to do to fix this issue.

I've sent crash logs to Garmin support to hopefully speed things up a bit.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received

Thanks in advance

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. We have been looking into why this is happening.
It appears that at least one of your Birdseye items may be bad. Please try transferring your Birdseye items one at a time (using drag and drop from the bottom-left pane to the device icon in the top-left pane). We will continue to look into how to prevent this from happening again.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried transferring the maps individually and one of them transfers ok, but the other doesn't :-(
On the info pane for each of the maps it states that they are available for use on the same device ID,
but here's the puzzler, the device ID that is stated does not match that of my device.
I have sent screen captures to Craig at support along with the device ID's.

    Thanks again
