I purchased a Rhino 655t to use with the new Basestation feature in Basecamp 4. My hopes were that it would show your current location AND Tracks. It seems that currently on the basestation devices location is shown. When you unplug the device it asks to save your tracks but there is no data. It seems that only other Rhinos tracks would be shown/saved (I've not confirmed as I only have one Rhino currently).
This is something that would make this extremely valuable for use in SAR type scenarios as well as exploration of remote areas. Yes, the GPS still tracks you and could be used for trackback but its much easier to drive and look at a big screen than to drive looking at a small one. Also, under stress you need things to be as simple and easy to read as possible. The more data you can at your finger tips the better (as long as you can choose what data you want to see so you don't overwhelm yourself).
