I just upgraded from the Nuvi 750 to the larger 2555. I'm using BC 3.3.3 and the latest upgrade to the Nuvi25555.
I'm having a LOT of problems importing waypoints into the new machine. I can of course import the actual waypoints and their locations, but the icons are NOT being imported.
I wrote a file, Current.gpx, with all the waypoints from my 750 to the Garmon gpx directory. It loads, but the waypoints do NOT appear.
I tried erasing everything, and just loading the same file to the memory card. The file I wrote to the memory card is fine (according to BC) but the new Current file created by the 2555 again has no icons. Variations on this theme all failed. It seems that the waypoint icons are only stored in (the inacessable) ROM on the 2555. Is this true? Do you have to modify all (500) waypoints by hand, one at a time after they are loaded in the machine?
A side issue, but maybe a relevant one: The list of available icons on the 2555 seems very small. They are all green, and don't include many of the BC icons. E.g. the icons for the various size cities are missing. Perhaps that is a clue that I have a deficient version of the software.
