Basecamp 4.0.0.6 crashes at startup (language-related problem?)

After being 'forced' to update from 4.0.0.5 to 4.0.0.6 I am now unable to start Basecamp at all - the only result is an error message which needs to be sent to Apple and on the next start attempt a request to send an error report to Garmin.... Which I have now done at least 5 times!
This problem does not seem to have been mentioned at all in this (english) forum but has been noted a number of times in the german-speaking forum.. As I am using a german version of OSX 10.7.4 I wonder whether my problem is in some way related to the OSX language? The problems reported in the german forum are related to both OSX 10.7.4 & 10.8.. At present there are a number of german speaking users who are now unable to use Basecamp in V4 at all..

You are correct. The beta only runs in English, and there is an issue where 4.0.0.6 will crash if your language is set to a non-English language. We will, hopefully, have a new version available tomorrow that fixes this.

Seems as though it should check language on the machine and it should not install on non English machine.

It would be nice if these kinds of things were boldly announced up front.

I agree with DENNYHENDERSON here in that this would at least allow non-english beta testers to continue testing Basecamp4..

Basecamp 4.0.0.7 is now working on my german-language OSX 10.7.4...

4.0.0.7 still not working on OS X 10.8

On my 2011 Macbook pro und OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) German language 4.0.0.7 still crashes on startup... :-((
