Garmin Adventures and Tracks

I thought I would publish a three mile fly fishing trip. Garmin has hunting as an activity but not fishing. I typed fishing and got the hiking icon. I split the track for the walk back to the truck. When I created the adventure, BC required me to select a main track. BC uploaded both tracks and you can see the track on the map but no other information can be seen about the track on the web page. Garmin adventures is tied to BC to the point if anyone needs information on the second track they can download the adventure.

I decided to join the two tracks but all I can get BC to do is join a straight line from parking to where I started fishing. I recored the track back to the truck. BC gives me the option to select either track before it is joined but I get the same results no matter which track I select.

Can anyone tell me how to rejoin the Track where it was split?

Thanks

I think I'd need to see the Track data for each to better understand the issue but you certainly ought to be able to rejoin the tracks in BC by just selecting both and right-click option Join Tracks. Making sure the order is correct and then "join".

  • Dan,

Thank for the reply. I started the track about 50 yards below where the original track ended. I fished a creek and hiked back. I split the track where I where I started back. I select both tracks and BC wants to know which track to use. No matter which one I select it joins the start and ending point. I will play with it some more, it has got to be something I simple.

Sounds like the direction-of-travel for one of the tracks is not correct.
