Cannot copy route to 3790

I'm using BaseCamp for Mac and a nuvi 3790, both updated to the latest version.

I created a route in BaseCamp, with starting, ending, and via points. Problem is, I'm unable to transfer it to my nuvi. I tried dragging the route from My Collection to the connected nuvi device, and also tried the send feature, but when I eject the nuvi and boot it up, it fails to appear as a trip in the trip planner. It's my understanding that the route should be converted to a trip, but no trips are shown at all.

Does this feature work reliably at present? Am I missing something?

37xx doesn't support routes. When importing route from gpx it converts it to a trip. It is like changing from single route with VIAs to a sequence of simple routes without VIAs. Routes are recalculated when importing, according to current settings in nuvi. Result can be different than the route in BaseCamp or Mapsource.

Thanks for the reply, and I do understand that there is supposed to be a conversion to trips, but the problem is that no trips even appear at all. There is a glitch during the import process and I don't know how to fix it.

Hopefully some one on the forum can help. I have had to reset my GPS in the past to fix problems like this in the past. I would call tech support when I could devote a couple of hours to getting the problem to work a hour or two
