Feature Request: Auto Naming

Please make this a selectable option, (on or off). I never have and can't see how I ever would use the auto generated name for a route.

I assume you mean in addition to the checkbox which turns it off, in the Info window. It would be nice to kill it altogether.

Correct. I should have said the default state.

I don't think it would be nice to kill auto naming of routes for the majority of users. Most users do not like to type any more that absolutely necessary and use parts of the auto naming even if they make modifications to the name.

I should have been more specific. It would be nice to be able to set a preference so that it is no longer the default behavior.

But compared to issues such as handling shaping points when maps are updated, this is very small potatoes indeed.
