v3.3.1 overwritten by Map Install DVD

I just installed a new 2012 CNEU map from DVD and the install process overwrote my BaseCamp v3.3.1 installation. I would be very upset if it were not for my Backup databases. As it is I just have to download v3.3.1 again from the AppStore.

Very disappointed that Garmin wasn't smart enough to not let this happen :mad:

Obviously that's not supposed to be the way it works. You shouldn't have to restore any data though. As soon as you reinstall you 3.3.1, all your data should be there without the need for a restore.

Why can't we get full disclosure by the installer, and options to pick what we want to install?

Seems very rude to not give the user that option.

I'm up and running just fine but the "Installer" person needs to get a "Time-out" in the corner 'cause there's a whole lot of DVD's out there that are going to piss off customers. :roll eyes:
