BaseCamp and Navigon

As navigon has been purchased by Garmin, would it be possible for BaseCamp to email waypoints that could be read by Navigon. For me Navigon is not an option for a Nuvi when on the Road but if you have a driver, it is useful to look at alternate routes. If you decide on a different route than chosen by the Garmin giving directions all you have to do it start the alternative route and the Garmin will recalculate. In my tests, the Garmin usually matches the Navigon after a couple of tries to get you back on the original route.

Thanks

It appears to me that MobileNavigator can only parse one location from an email. So that would mean sending an email for every Waypoint you wanted to have on MobileNavigator. If MN supported GPX files and iCloud or Dropbox, then you could just Export your Waypoints in BaseCamp to your Dropbox (iCloud) folder and your done. They'd show up in MobileNavigator the next time you did a sync.

Lot's of changes going to take place in the coming year I think.

    Cheers,
  • My version allows you to email favorites from Navigon. The email contains a link and when you tap, it opens Navigon and asks if you want to import but warns your current favorites will be over written. I agree the gpx file would be better especially if you could add as opposed to overwriting your favorites but it looks like the email could be added to BaseCamp and Navigon would import.
