Basecamp vs Roadtrip

What is the difference in these two software products.

Have been using Roadtrip for a few years, and it is very slow.

Tried Basecamp and it seems much better.

Am I missing something by switching to Basecamp?

RoadTrip is no longer being developed by Garmin. BaseCamp is the application. You will find BaseCamp a much better application all around.
