I have downloaded and installed BaseCamp 3.2.2. I entered my street address in the "Search for:" box and my post office in the "Near" box. BaseCamp can not lcome up with my location. If I put a "." in Dr. it does come up with some options for the street (none correct) but if I leave the "." off doesn't even come close to the street name. My street does show on the map without the "." in Dr.:(
Do you have City Navigator installed and selected? None of Garmin maps I am aware of use post office box numbers. They all use street address numbers. I always search from the center of the screen. Find the city and enter the street address works best for me.
I have selected City Navigator North America NT 2011.4 and by post office I mean town and state. So I entered #### Street Name in the "Searh for:" and Midlothian, VA USA in the "Near" boxes.
I tried the street address and center of screen with the screen centered on my address and still thre results did not even find the street! Also at the 500' zoom level serveral commercial establishments were shown on the screen and there are none in the area. This is soley residential.
Kind of hard to know if that condition still exists on the 2012.20 maps without having the Street Name. It was easy enough to find Midlothian, VA, from my location in Washington state by using the Advanced Search and just selecting Cities.
As for POI's, yeah, they show up in all kinds of weird places. Not a BC issue.

My past experience has lead me to put as little information as possible into the search field. Did you try just the Street Name or even part of the name - with no suffix?
